Description
The footprint of a building must be protected from ground water seeping up into the fabric of the structure. For simple buildings, this footprint can be protected by fitting a damp proof membrane across the slab of concrete, which is then connected to a damp proof course installed within the walls.
Damp-proof membranes are needed to create a barrier to moisture in concrete floors and often also as a gas control membrane against radon. As both horizontal DPC in masonry and horizontal DPMs to floor slabs, our DPM film is typically put under ground bearing concrete slabs on sand blinding or between concrete and screed applications not subject to hydrostatic pressure
